I had a dream to fly when I was a boy, but hundreds of other children had it too. Mine was a secret one, and when adults asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would firmly answer that I would be a lawyer, like my dad. However, the sky continued to lure me. After school, I secretly considered studying aviation, but... I chose nuclear engineering and successfully completed it. My secret childhood dream came true when I received my free balloon pilot license in 2001. By then, I had already decided: aviation would become not only my job, but also a way of life. I currently have a pilot-instructor rating, have accumulated 3,000 flight hours, and have worked as a commercial balloon pilot not only in Europe, but also in the Middle East and Africa.
More about me
My passion for flying is revealed not only through a long-standing affair with aviation and a desire to master different means of air transport. I have always had a goal to test the capabilities of a hot air balloon, so I have been striving with great enthusiasm for aviation records in Lithuania. I am no less curious to explore the limits of this aircraft - this prompted me to test and offer flights to an altitude of 6 km, where oxygen masks are required, to get infected with the idea that parachutists can equally jump down not only from an airplane, but also from a balloon, and to undertake an exclusive TELE2 project, during which we raised a small house into the sky. However, the most important thing for me is to share my discoveries with other people, to show them that aviation only needs the sky, good weather and imagination. I enriched this unparalleled experience by raising a restaurant into the sky with the most famous Lithuanian chefs, organizing not only DJ performances during the flight, but also a live classical music concert. Inspired by the idea that flying is not just a pastime for the chosen ones - I had also purchased a balloon basket adapted for disabled people. I have almost no doubt that this is not the end. In recent years, I have been living between Lithuania and the United Arab Emirates, where in the desert near Dubai in the cold winter I take everyone who wants to go up in a balloon. In addition to the Lithuanian balloon license, I have also acquired commercial licenses from the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Kenya.
